I have a grey motor I'm pulling apart as I need to freight a bare block. Problem is I keep trying to win a harmonic balancer removal tool on Ebay and keep getting outbid! Is there anyone in the Albury/Wodonga area who has one they can lend me this weekend or it can wait until New Year I ...

Down near the dipstick is a code K150 I seem to remember that this is the block casting date, if so does it mean 15/11/1960?

That would be it I'd say, I wonder if there are any internal differences, externally it looks exactly the same, just green not grey. Here's a pic of the number

Well I picked up this motor today and yes it is indeed ID1556 as the engine number, appears to be genuine as the style and size of letters and numbers is like the orginal stampings. This motor was originally fitted to a truck apparently and is painted a green colour. Is a very good runner too ...

strange engine number

I have gotten onto another complete motor, it's a grey out of an EK but the engine number they swear is ID1556 seems really odd, has these sequence been herd of by anyone?

Looks as if this one is to be crushed, I wanted it so he bumped the price up, not worth grabbing now unfortunately in my opinion. $250 scrap value for an EK shell, does that sound right?????? :shock:

Differences in FB EK brake drums?

Hi all,

I have a pair of sedan rear drums at home, a guy wants to get them for the front of his EK panelvan, are these going to fit or do rears only fit rears and front drums only fit the front? Do comercials and sedans have different drums?
