"I've seen examples of both engines with NP and VP numbers"
How do we get on if it has all 4 letters ???... NPVP...
So... what we have here is a motor that was stolen from a person who stole it from another person..........
Now that is what i call a VERY HOT motor.
Reddo
Holden .. australian car for australian conditions.....partyin', drinkin' ,cruisin' and rootin'
Well I picked up this motor today and yes it is indeed ID1556 as the engine number, appears to be genuine as the style and size of letters and numbers is like the orginal stampings. This motor was originally fitted to a truck apparently and is painted a green colour. Is a very good runner too!

Unless its one of those industrial grey motors GMH sold to power generators, forklifts etc.
That may explain the odd engine number??
I had a NOS Nasco grey motor replacement block years ago with a weird engine number ( can't remember what the engine number was as it was over 20 years ago now ) and it was painted a lightish green sort of colour.

I can't think what to write here so this will do.
That appears to be the same colour as the Nasco replacement block I had years ago ( which I stupidly gave away
) so I'd guess that engine would either be a replacement block or ex industrial motor that GMH made for various industrial applications.

Unless its been restamped as there appers to be a "step" in the machined face of the number pad..... or it is just the photo that makes it appear so??
