I've been speaking to this scrap metal merchant who has this reasonably complete shell in central VIC. I'm hoping to save it from going to scrap as that will be its fate at the end of this week apparently as he's had plenty of promises but no buyers. I hope to get it for between $100 and $150, but I will need to collect it too (about 5 hours from where I live). I think it would be good to save it as it may not be too bad for rust and could make a great doner shell for someone?? Has anyone seen this shell for themselves, if so what did you think?
Otherwise I'm happy to hear any comments from others, I would think it would wreck out and cover my costs easily if nothing else?
Looks as if this one is to be crushed, I wanted it so he bumped the price up, not worth grabbing now unfortunately in my opinion. $250 scrap value for an EK shell, does that sound right??????
Yep sounds right around these parts , Its still cheap at $250 in my opinion but I see art in it A good start to a lounge or BBQ and a roof for a top chop or skin for something else , sills or part of that are reusebable etc etc .
Tell him $200
