While in QLD found this......and bought it.

Post by dave68 »

Hey all, just had 3 weeks up with the sunnys in happy Brisvegas
While there I arranged to go to a pizza and beer day at Richard and Kates place.
Before I left to go I was told about a EK225 for sale around the corner.
This is where the fun starts for me.
I made my way to where the car was for sale and checked it out, sure enought it was for sale

So I enquired if he was open to offers and he said he was, so with my trusty camera full of shots I set off to R & Ks house.
After the introductions were made( remember I only have met one of these guys once before) I showed them my find. Well you could see the gears turning in there minds when they saw what I had found  . Sure enought we piled into Craigs car and shot over to have a closer look.

Well it is like so many stories we have all heard before, got married, got a house and had child  . So the car is left to suffer  . And suffer it has :!:

Well so what I here you say, its' his car he can do what he likes with it....Well it was his
Now it belongs to these lunatics

After a small haggle over coin the recovery vechicle was called and the old girl loaded up..

Image

Then a wave good bye to her previous resting place( lived under a tree for "X" amount of years) , and we were off

Image

After a short run down the road it was delivered to its new "temp" home( yes Kate temp).

Image

Then the valtures, well just one on that day got to it and started stripping( see Beers in "whats happening in QLD section"http://www.fbekholden.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=6474)

Well it was a shame to strip her knowing what it used to look like, this shot is of the car at some show in QLD, and it looked real nice.

Well that is what happend on that faithful Sunday afternoon when some "FB & EK" car nutters get together for a quiet beer and a pizza, would hate to see a roudy time out....   .

Oh by the way we also got some spare to go with it....

Hey Craig, I guess the minister for war and fiance knows about your little venture..."KEEP MY NAME OUT OF IT". I don't need your other half gunning for me. Nar just kidding, was real glad to catch up with you guys. I am glad you guys got something out of it, as I said before if you guys didn't want it I was going solo. God only know what would have happened then
Want to see what that head has to offer on your beast with those carbies. Sorry to finny, he noticed the horn but he was way too late, by the time he said he wanted it it was fitted and working
I hope you guys make Kate happy and get that car out of her yard real fast, nice lady and don't want to see her angry, as specialy at me  . So get your stuff quick.
Will give you guys some more notice next time and we can do some other outing, I know where I think 3 more living under a tree out near Samford, and yes I am not joking. Not this time but the one before I was up you way I saw them with a few other cars.
Oh it was good to meet you and the others, just have to conn the slack sunnie to get over to the other side of town ( when a engine is not involved, sorry Tim).
Cheers and enjoy.....
P.S. hope you liked the post.

Nice work there Dave 8)

It was great catching up with you again! Was a good night. Big juicy steak, great chat, nice refreshing swim, harassment from the dogs, yummy red wine (thanks K&R) and a few giggles too. Did you get in touch with your feminine side, sleeping in our pink girly room?
Hope you had fun here. Was short but sweet and you're welcome to stay/pop in again anytime you're up this way again. There's a pretty pink room here with your name on it

Lu & Ro
PS> Your ute sounds great now! Vroom Vroommmmm.....oh and loved the horn!!!
