hi Guy whilst re fitting my engine it seem i have lost some of the labels for my wiring ..
i have a red motor fitter with a HZ electronic dizzy .. there is 2 wires that go 2 the +ve -ve on the coil from the dizzy, but i have 3 wires that come from ignition that i cant work out 1 is labelled dizzy earth but here is no where on dizzy with a matching plug another looks to have -ve written on and the other is ?
attached is a pic of the orginal wires i will re wire them once i know where the go ?
ooh and one other item .. how to you set the timing for a electronic dizzy ? cant do it the old way
Sorry Dave - can't help much with this - I run a totally different system in mine - ummm......
Isn't there some sort of box that fits the side of the distributor - I have only seen this a couple of times - from memory- think there were three leads from it.... but goodness only knows where they go to - I don't....
Ok, I just looked at mine and The green wire from the dizzy goes to the Negative, The brown wire from the dizzy goes to the positive, the condenser thingy goes to the positive and the red wire from the loom goes to the positive as-well, if you don't have these colored wires then I'm stuffed if I know , mine came out of a VC commodore, good luck, Trev .

i just traced the 3 wire back in 2 the dash and it turns out 2 where connected to globes and are now assigned temp and oil idiot lights
the 3rd came from the ignition switch and can only got 2 the +ve of the coil along with the +ve and -ve from dizzy so i think thats complete
NOW I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO SET THE TIMING FOR ELECTRONIC DIZZYS if its any different to the old points way , obviously ill need a timing light to fine tune but 4 now ill be happy to have it a few degrees off
