I reused the headlining in my sedan with considerable success. Used a donor lining to patch up a few torn bits, mainly C pillar bottoms where the rear seat back had come in and out too many times. Main issue I found is that the material that the wire bows go through tends to rot.
Yeah mate the material that hold the bows is pretty soft but I’ll really have a good look at it when the time gets closer.

I found “shift it” worked really well - spray on and a soft brush then wipe off well with wet rag
Kenco Shift It (from Autobarn) is awesome on old trim. It's an old Steve Jackson trick that works really well. Soap-and-water the trim, rinse, then work in the Shift It with a nailbrush. Rinse and repeat. Dry off, then add Armourall/Meguiars etc to protect it.

327 Chev EK wagon, original EK ute for Number 1 Daughter, an FB sedan meth monster project and a BB/MD grey motored FED.
Cut my teeth on the first rust repair today.
The rust hole was the size of a 5c piece but the surrounding metal was so thin I had to replace a larger section just to get decent metal to weld onto.
