The confusing thing is that the rocker post, bolt, girdle and where it bolts together can only compress so much so the only thing that can be changing is the rocker being pushed further down and opening the valves slightly which must mean the lifter is not giving
I left it at this and when my wife arrived home I got her to turn the engine over so I could watch the rockers, with the bolts just nipped the rockers and valves are moving nicely and got 160psi, the push rods don't seem to be sitting any higher than the others.
I am really confused as to what is going on, I think I will try to shim the rocker posts a bit more so that I can get some torque on the bolts and maybe loctite the bolts also then try to give it a run, I'm confident the valves haven't touch the piston as I get really good compression when the valves are shutting properly.
I'm rambling but just trying to get it out of my head and if anybody has any ideas I'm all ears.
