I put Dynamat in my '46 - dont think I would use it again , its expensive and the stuff I got from my trimmer mate did a better job noisewise.

The stuff he sells is about 12mm thick - I put it in my '64 Chev and it was the quietest car I have built  Went with the Dynamat because apparently its the best but I am not convinced.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

The Rodders Journal did a feature on Dynamat a couple of issues back. Very interesting reading. It seems they do different types and to cut heat and noise you'd need at least two layers possibly three.... all varying thickness.

In my experience, I though dynamat was the best after trying that ceramic paint from the USA, but in the ek, I ran out of dynamat and just used the normal stuff the upholsterers use ( like removalist's blanket ). I reckon it is just as good. I am bringing a bit more dynamat in from the USA but I am only using on the doors now. It's not much cheaper from USA but if you need a bit of it, it's worth it, and it's easier buying from them than chasing it up here. Also saw some on gum tree a few months back

I sell all types Dynamat, generic Dynamat styled gear (Roof Seal) and the traditional underlay.
Generally I can price all of them a lot less than most.
