Steering column dash bracket - wanted/ wanted repaired

Post by Richard »

Hi forum

I noticed that my stock steering column dash bracket is cracked/ split. It appears to be manufactured of a metal alloy, and welded to the dash, not bolted. It is visible from the front when you're in the drivers seat. (Nb when I read the instructions on how to post a photo I'll put one up).

Has anyone had success in welding one of these if not, does anyone have a spare, solid one, kicking around.

If I don't repair it, the steering wheel will eventually just flop on my lap while I'm driving.

Kind regards - Richard

Richard , it should be bolted to the dash , the bolts are accessed by removing the dash gauge cluster.

I am pretty sure I have a drawerful of them in the shed
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.
