New up-date...while up in Sunny Queensland (after the nat's), I was having a talk with Paul Kelly and worked out that the easiest way to do the body mods is to get another body and have Paul to do the necessary 'adjustments' (chop top, guard scallop & arse end mod) at his leisure then transport it back down home for running gear transfer, paint & trim (which I'll do myself.  8).
PAUL & I AT MUNCHIE'S on Friday night.

(Paul's son Steve's Toyota Crown in the foreground..nice car..stock looking but sits nice'n'low. 8) )

So for the next couple of years my sedan will stay pretty much as it is, plus any one up in Queensland that might have a sedan body Paul can attack let me know. It does'nt have to be a runner or that straight and stuff like rust in the usual places don't bother me (as it's getting a LOT of customizing done, so rusted out rear 1/4's is fine with me  ).

Thats good to know that theres direction now and the ball can start rolling.
Smooth would love working on an EK Id imagine ,apart from being small compared to some of his builds we all know he has a fettish for EKs.
Also Scotty its good to see the car in its present guise is being well received left right and centre ,but ofcourse 8) :)

It may be a couple of years before this project sees the light of day
Over the last few years i have had health issues and repeated surgery, that unfortunatly have not helped. And at the moment i am recovering from more surgery.
Because of this and a couple of other reasons i will be closing my shop.
In the next couple of weeks i hope to be able to returning to work and finish the last job in the shop.
I will still be making Cruzin Skirts if there are requests for them, but i will not be in a position to take on any further work.
Scottys build is because he is a good mate and we have been talking about and designing this car for more years than we both like to admit to. And he understand the limitations and the time it will possibly take to do.

Nah..it cost a small country's bank balance to make the glass, Thommo!! Plus I like the strength of door pillars.

All this is correct..and I don't really want to impose on Paul (but all this said it will be a 'proper build this way & not my bodgie "built on a dirt floor with bits of old steel and a ton of bog" job! ), Plus Paul has a few more family job's up his sleeve long before he could even think of touching mine (Don't forget he will be retired from custom body building & can take his sweet time about it, too! :D ) I'm in no rush, and to get a Kelly built body is a dream come true   8) . This design has been in the mix for at least 12 years by my reckoning!!! Crickeys Paul has it been THAT LONG!!!

Sweet, how about a 3 inch section seeing as the chops out, :( no glass to cut
and you can sell the section of ek for scrap :) and make some $$$$
Id love to see a sectioned sedan, complex curves a plenty
What ever you two do will look awesome...hell it better after 12 years :) :)
