That must have been one MOTHER of a speed hump!
Nice work on the panel repair..(you take after me with HQ steel
), how'd it go with un-bending the shift arm?
Scotty.

Re: fb cruzn's fb
thanx for the comments guys, it wasnt that big of a speed hump but the shifter sits 600mm off the ground and the exhaust is about the same. i sort of straightend the shifter, i bent it back into place with a couple of big shifters, it doesnt feel as good as it use too, im going to make another one when i get a chance.
I just got back from 3 days in orange for tafe, 130ks each way, ran like a dream
i think i got 100 thumbs ups

More like 60mm..... I'd be making sure nothing hangs that low. Get the exhaust tucked up tight against the body and changed the shifter too. It's only a small outlay to avoid having to do all those repairs again or possibly even worse.

Earlier in the year I visited my sister (about a 600k round trip) and stayed over night..the next day I realized that my car ran out of rego the day before
Even though it was an error on my part for driving it un-rego'ed I guess the police must be on the look out for speeding 'P' platers in junky bodgy Zimm boxes and not doddering old absent minded EK drivers.
Note: this was a genuine mistake on my part and not me trying to bend the law for my personal gain...to tell you the truth I felt like a right idiot for getting my rego date so wrong!!
Scotty.

Re: fb cruzn's fb
yea tim the fb got the bride but man those humpys were clean, the 48 was an original 1 owner with 16000 miles, proberly the best one iv ever seen. the eh was a prem with every nasco extra on it
iv been cruzn the shit out of the fb, its become my daily because id rather drive it than the magna
i swaped the diff for a torana one, ratbox gave me a centre, dunno what ratio it is but its brought the revs down a little at 100kph. im getting 6l to 100ks on preium ulp, and thats with twin strommies. i put it on the gas analyzer at work and its running 14.7:1 at 2000rpm and pretty close to that right through the rev range.
except at idle, bloody lumpy cams
next things on the to do list is a little paint touch ups and put the ball joint front in. then maby some new wheels, somthin huge like 14 by 7s
