wow found this in page 10  well i said i wasnt in a rush
time for an update 8)
not long after i started this thread i moved to sunny QLD and left my fb & ek behind
i spent a couple of years up there but theres no place like home
worst part, the ol fb spent that time under a gum tree that was full of sap
I got sick of it looking sad so its time to give it a new lease on life
Image
im undecided un the front lower apron/spoiler, its something i did years ago thats grown on me  what do you guys think?

years ago i replaced all 4 floors, sill's are good but i knew the subframe was a bit iffy, so bugger it, i pulled it off, only pin holes but they soon got bigger when i started tappin round with a screw driver.
Image
Image
the front part where the outrigger bolts on had pin holes all along (im thinkin because of the bolt access holes  ) so i replaced the whole lot

one of the stabliser bar mounts was cactus, tag was rusted off and the bolt snaped off
the patch peice i made out of a thick flat black plate, drilled two holes and welded nuts on the inside :D now hq ones bolt up.
Image
no point doin one side and not the other
Image
I gave the firewall a coat of black whie i was there :)
Image
there was no rust between the subframe and firewall :)
i painted the outside of the subframe in stoneguard and gloss black, and just gloss black on the inside

thats all i can do with the subframe till i get a helper smurf to help put it back on, iv tryed by my self but im a couple of arms short :?

motor runs good! took it for a squirt before i pulled it out, so just a paint and polish will do.

in between doin the subframe i also stripped the roof back to bare metal, i used a grafetie (spelt wrong) remover on the grinder, there a fiber/fiberglass lookin thing, they were mentioned somewhere on this site a few days back. while i was on a roll with it i did left rear 1/4 and in and around the boot, found some rusty spots in the 1/4 so did a repair, dont let the bog scare you, most of it will be sanded off :) by hand  anyhow heres how she looks
