Last two panels began today

Passengers doors stripped and rust cut out........

Adding the extra for the gap between the doors was much easier this second time around.
A bit of confidence goes a long way :)

It would be good to have it done for it's 50th birthday. Won't happen though.
The coin will hold me back :(

I've been blocking back the doors to get them ready for painting the inside faces.

Also painted the floor, parcel shelf and inside the pillars........

Your efforts are applaudible, Wayne - this has been a protracted journey for you as I recall there was a "quiet" spell...... I'm having one now with our old bus.......
At the end of the day (not too far off I'm sure) - the re-assembly brings much glee as each carefully completed part goes back into the persona.......
I don't believe any of us appreciate every intricate detail in its totality - and some of us (in time you will likewise) deeply bury some of the "build"....... until another comes along and we recall the attention demanded to achieve a like result.......
Enjoy, Wayne - and don't get stooged into a quick finish........ it will most definitely be worth the restraint......

I'm loving the whole two tone yellow 'n' white theme running through the car (inside 'n' out).
At first I thought the underside of the bonnet was white cardboard used to mask the thing   .
Great job, Wayne!! 8) 8) 8)
This car is gonna be super cool!
Oh, will the door trims & upholstery also run the yellow 'n' white theme too? :D

Scotty.

Nice work EKSPCL-this is such an inspiring thread.
I was just reading through the whole thing and in ref. to your brake booster I did the same thing but Terry at Hydroboost sent me a cap to go over the intake that allows for a small vaccum hose to go into the engine bay( something about keeping mud etc out and possible engineer requirements). I wondered at the size of the hose vs the intake but it seems to work fine.
Its just a press fit metal cap with a nozzle off the side- you just seal it with a bit of silastic- I drilled a 10mm hole in the subframe behind the bonnet hinge and stuck a 13mm poly pipe cap through with a hose clamp on the outside and some vacuum hose in between. You can get the cap from hydro boost but it wouldn't be hard for someone with you skills to knock one up.
