Re: Are you Bored? Bang for Buck Engine recipe required.

Ed,

That is definitely the wrong spark plug. Waaay too much reach. You want something like the Champion J12Y (13/16" hex, 14 mm thread, 3/8" reach). Grey motors take the same plugs as small-block Chev V8s, but with a different heat range.

ETA: 3-1/8" bore, 3-1/8" stroke equals 143.8 cubic inches ...

Kalimera from Kefalos. Nice work Neil. Jet lag seems to be less flying east to west, this being the first time I’ve done it.

Re: Wife's (rusty) ute, where to start advice

Handbrake cable is available new repro not that dear if I recall. You probably know this but drums are interchangeable front rear and you can also use EJ EH as well as HD HR rear if that is any help. I had a bunch of drums but I offloaded them a while ago to other forum members.

I would get some ...

You don’t want to turn it into a panel van by any chance? Just kidding really, but I have a van roof here no one seems to want.

Re: New NUTSERT tools

Nifty Neil. Blacky, awesome, thanks.Harv I feel the same way.

Here is a fun fact for you: I am currently in London, staying with our daughter. The silly poofters are still using Imperial linear measurements, inches, feet, yards, miles. Yet they use litres for fuel.

I can't seem to post via ...

Wife's (rusty) ute, where to start advice

Sounds like you are on the right track Michael. My ute project just needed a few patches, by comparison, apart from the rear, where I used a combination of fuel tank surround cut from a van, and fabrication. I didn’t need a rotisserie or hoist or any bracing.

My panel van sounds more like a similar ...

Project 2.

Hi Brett. I am trying to understand the issue you describe. Any movement of the upper inner wishbone pivots relative to the rest of the suspension will change the caster and/or camber settings, impacting the handling and tyre wear. Sorry if this is obvious, or I am missing something. You might need ...

Re: Grecian White/Apache Red 225

Are those rims the same offset Craig? I see one is FB EH and the other after market or Torana.

Re: Grecian White/Apache Red 225

Interesting. Makes sense that they would steer better. Possibly the ride will be a bit harsher. There is usually a trade off somewhere.

Bonnet/boot letters

Very good Terry. You can usually tell the rear letters as they have rubber seals or remnants there of, around the pins.

Re: Reverse Light Pigtail Replacement

Single filament that gets powered by the reverse light switch feeding a circuit in the FC (to match the tail lights) indicator switch, which outputs a constant 12V to both rear indicators.
