fair advice Matt,
I can appreciate that the tri would dramatically improve the drivability of the ek, and my mechanic suggested the same idea. I would have changed the donk to a chev years ago but i chose to leave it stock(except for kustom wheels,white wall tyres, custom lights, a two pac enamel ...

I know what its like with the money and car thing.
Just spend it mate get the ek running like you want then your happy - the house can wait.
My twin carb set up is happening with the hydra remaining.I hope my mechanic and i dont run into to many probs with the linkages. We'll make it work ...

How did it all pan out in the end. I am about to tacckle the exact same problem and I want to keep the hydra running. What solution did you arrive at with the kickdown?

Your idea will get the car low allright however with the characteristic body roll of the FB/EK I feel you might get in trouble with the tyres fouling the guards particularly at the back. You can gain clearance in the rear guards by folding in the lip around the arch making sure you smooth them out ...
