Mick's right - the hinge reco kits are on evilpay all the time so watch out in the new year. They look pretty good too.

Anyone here bought any?

The rebuild looks like it's going to be full on Joe. Keep the pics coming - always great watching what guys do with their cars.

I have used the rares ones and as they are a "universal fit" (48-WB from memory) they arn't great they will do the job as long as you dont drive the pivot shaft all the way home you will see what I mean if you get a set

Unfortunatly unless you get good second hand ones the only other option is to knock some up

PS sory for the hijack

I'm keen to see how it turns out

Thanks for the tips guys, i will definetley look into it. Hi mint62, the car is going to look pretty much the way it was only a lot shinier and i will drop in a small block from a 60's corvette, i wish. just a few suttle changes ie:
hidden wiring, detailed engine bay, detailed undercarriage on rotisserie, custom paint on dash with pinstriping.

I tend only to view customs  .. are you going to de-badge the EK?.. from the photo of the boot it looks like it..if so are you also removing the chrome strips too?? I thought your car was 8) at the Nat's this year..can't wait to see the finished product after this 'freshen-up'. :D :D 8)
