I know it's fifty odd years on but I wonder how many of the rust riddled FB's and EK's out there would stand up to the old Lang Lang proving ground these days.

From some of the cars we have seen here having MAJOR rust surgery I would say that there may be some spectacular (and dangerous) failures !!!

Gotta love the old clips - and the way they talked back then!

Keep 'em coming.........

Curiosity got the better of me and I found these with a quick Google

Check out where the crash dummies are in the HQ full frontal collision test - ouch, f*&^%$# ouch !!!

I posted this one for a laugh - "At Holden's Proving Ground in Lang Lang, Victoria, the landcare project has led to the creation of an important wildlife corridor in the dense woodland surrounding the site. Nesting boxes have been placed and Holden volunteers have helped monitor endangered possum species."

I wonder how much collateral road kill they now get, lol

HEY VMX-MXR, Having worked at lang lang proving ground as a test driver there is a lot of collateral road kill. I had'nt hit any while there but I had some close calls. My mate's dad wrote off two brand new commodores just last month. One was a brand new clubsport and he hit a roo on the circuit doing about 160 kph. Made a right mess it did. I have to say it was the best job i,ve ever had :) . cheers Pat

Hey Pat

That's an interesting post mate.

I've conjured up images of roos and possums etc etc scuttling for their little lives and getting splattered left right and centre lol!!!!!!!!

Seriously though - if you are allowed to can you tell us some hairy dog stories about Lang Lang?

Cheers
