I enjoyed painting so much that over the next years have done about one a year with the exception of recent years. I always work off photos because I want a high degree of accuracy and detail. For example on the wrecked 60 IMPALA convertible I sketched some of the detail that was not clear in the photo, from a workshop manual.
Little bits of detail I enjoy are things that you don't really notice until you start looking really closely at the photo to paint from. On the 59 Buick you can see that the left back window is wound down a fraction. On the 58 Chevy, the bulb's fillament is still intact. On the 58 Caddy tail you can read the wording "Guide" , who are the company who make the lenses.
Some of the cars painted are Australian, from when I visited Canberra Street rod nationals. Others are from my travels around South Africa.
I use acrylic on board. 99% is brushed with a few bits airbrushed here and there. The tails of the 60 Caddy and the 57 Chevy have a bit more airbrushing on them.
