Here are some old Darwin pics with FB's & EK's in them..... circa mid 60's 8)

Old Darwin Post Office on the Cnr Knuckey & Smith st Darwin-mid 60's......FB Special. This building has been knocked down and replaced with a highrise motel, the section of street behind the XM/XP Falcon is now the "Smith St Mall".

Darwin Hotel on the Esplanade-mid 60's..... EK standard Station Sedan. This building was knocked down only recently and replaced by a shitty looking apartment setup :roll: .

The Don Hotel Cavenagh st Darwin-mid 60's ........ 2 classic utes, probably had auto pilot to get their pissed owners home!! :shock: :shock: :wink: :lol: :lol: . Some of this building still exists....... we used to go here as teenagers! :shock: 8) :lol: :lol:

The old pics are cool. Are you able to get shots of the same locations as they look today. Interesting to see the comparison.
So wish I was around back then, life looked so much more relaxed

ahhh. the dodgy don hotel. wasn't the esplanade the one with the pool? there was one on the espanade we used to jump in for a quick dip on the piss. cool pics. you have got the life up there gaz.

Photo of same spot taken 15/11/2009. Only thing similar is the building with awning on the left side of the pic!!

Ain't much the same here! Behind the garden is a "Resort" and behind the whole thing is "Parliment House" (you can see the corner of it in the second photo)
