cheers Brodie and Nomad,
Here are the proposed specs for the FB ute (when I get one!):
We are tubbing to take 15x12 Convo's on the rear (hopefully!) and 15x6 on the front. The motor will be an LS2 with Wipple supercharger
LH-LX Torana front end.
LSD diff with disc brakes for the rear, shortened.
Fully welded chassis
Turbo 700 (very worked over), full manual valve body, trans brake (3000 stall)
Rack and Pinion steering (Torana)
Jet Black paint
Red & Black leather interior
An unusual "chrome kit" (have not seen one on a ute before)
Pedders suspension on the Torana frontend
McDonald Bros Racing 4 link rear end.
Dual 2 1/2" - 3" exhaust system
Alloy drop tank
A/C
Power windows (all 2 of them   )
central locking
kick arse sound system
oh yeh.... and a towbar  to pull the EK sedan down to the nats on the trailer!!

so legally the biggest tyre youd fit under a fb/ek (over here) would be a 245 and thats after a pretty big pump. a 265 would be possible but ya loose too much shape in the guard and it looks rat shit.

but yeah over here if ya go anywhere nere the rails your arse is grass

Gary is certainly a lucky bugger livin up North!

NSW says no tubs     No engine greater than 327 normally aspirated as well

You know state rules are just plain dumb. If Gary drives his vehicle down South whats the difference if its registered up North???

A ute you say, this will be good

Bugs got you hard Gary.

He Still has to be careful so Not really, it can be still defected here in NSW, even if its regoed in another state........it all depends on how nice the authorities want to be.
