Ive done this conversion before and some advice would be .
Make sure the gearbox is series 1 VN with a kickdown cable (not electronic) unless you have something in mind to cater for the electrics.

The cable position is very critical to the gearbox working right (within 1mm - 2mm) so have a look at the vn throttle body and see what you have to acheive onto your carby.

Very worthwhile conversion  and it brings the feel of the car into modern driving pleasure.
Easily distracted angle manipulator extrordinaire.

this is what you get from CRS (plus speedo cable and a few other bits)

its a great setup, i've been using it for nearly 2 yrs and about 40,000kms without any dramas at all!!

only thing i can suggest is to get some method of locking up the torque converter ..... it makes the world of difference to economy.

as far as box's are concerned, any vn/vp v6 box should be what you need, they are all hydraulic with the kick down ... i've heard varied opinions about which one is the better box but in all honesty a mild 202 is not even making the same power and torque as a stock V6 so its not a big deal.....

i can highly recommend a shift kit, makes it into a much nicer box!

you'll also need a different shifter, i went for a B&M shifter but whatever tickles your fancy ... the other option is to fit the commodore shifter

thats about all i can think of at the moment ....
Regards,

Sammy.
