EK or FB wanted!

Post by ExtremelyKeenForBeauty »

Hello,
I'm a new member and I am really interested in buying a EK or FB, preferably two pack colours with white and a bright blue/green. I am looking for something that needs no or little work and preferably an auto, but I would learn manual if necessary. I live in Sydney, but would travel for a beauty!
Ever since I first saw a EK as a child, it was love at first sight and I have always aspired to own one! I am 23 and have just finished uni, so am looking to make my dream a reality.
So any hints/tips or pointers in the right direction would be greatly apprieciated.
Thanks,
Kate

Kate,

Get hold of Steve Jacksons number and don't lose it.

Steve's got the best ability to find the car you want and he's in Sydney which helps.

It's amazing what he can find!!
I can't think what to write here so this will do.

Hi Steve and everybody!
Oh wow that's a nice offer thanks. Hopefully I'll be able to take you up on your offer sometime in the future, as a I need an insider who knows the cars well. At the moment I'm regularly checking online here, carpoint, carsales, the trading post and ebay. Most of the cars I find have quite a lot of rust. :(
Anyways keep me in mind if someone is looking for a nice, loving home for their beauty.
Thanks again,
Kate

Hi Kate, welcome back!

Please keep in mind, one needs to have a garage to keep the car out of the weather! Otherwise ......

Phew! - Thanks Thommo. 8)

Kate - Are you after something that is original (grey motor) or modified (red motor or V8?) or don't care?

Welcome to the forum, Kate.
What Steve Jackson forgot to tell you was that he OWNS most of the FB's & EK's in Sydney           .
But seriously, I hope you find a nice car probably an EK if you want an automatic, that is if you want a stocker.

Hello,
I would probably prefer something that isn't a V8, so I could have some chance at affording to drive it! And prefer something that doesn't need to much work, or any work at all.
At the moment I am eyeing off an gorgeous Green/white EK on ebay for a buy now price of $10,000, which is a lot more than I was expecting to pay. So not sure if it is worth that much? Or if overall it is a good car?
If you could have a look at it and let me know your opinions that would be great.
Thanks,
Kate
