hmm.........IMHO if its running, drop it on its guts, throw a set of whitewalls on it and a mexican blanket on the front seat and you are done. Ha.

But seriously it looks like a good starter.....
Looking forward to the progress...

Hi and welcome to restoration heaven.I am into a complete rebuild down to the last nut and bolt and the most important piece you should have before you start are about 200 clip lock bags and two permanent markers.trust me you will use them.oh yeah and plenty of pictures.

I second that Tony!!
I use 3 diffent sized bags. Packed them in Left guard bolts, grille bolts, dash, glovebox etc etc..... now that we have done our first prefit and reassembly I am sooooo glad I did that  .

Good luck with the build mate. :D

will soda blasting hit the rust as well as paint ?

A soda blaster here where I live showed me recently some work he had done.

Soda blasting is brilliant for safe paint removal but struggles somewhat when it comes to the rusty areas.

He then uses a heavier blasting medium on the rusted areas to bring the rust out that the soda blast couldn't remove.

He said that after soda blasting the car doesn't have to be quickly primed to prevent rust starting on the bare metal as the fine film of soda left on the body acts as a temporary rust preventative via its chemical makeup.
