April Club Run

Post by thropzed »

Welcome all to the April Club Run
Bush to the Beach
April 26th

Today we will meet at the McDonalds car park at Newmarket. Time: 8.30am. Departure Time 9.00am. We will drive out along Samford Road to Samford and then continue along Mt Samson Road to Dayboro for morning tea at Terahs Restaurant. A Coffee/Tea and Cake special has been arranged for us at just $5 each. Feel free to order from the menu as well if you’re feeling peckish.
After morning tea we will continue from Dayboro along Mt Mee Road through and over Mt Mee. We will have a chance to stop at the lookout at the top of Mt. Mee for some photos. We will follow through the scenic hills to the small town of Woodford. Some of you would have heard of this town as the home of The Woodford Folk Festival and Elvis Parsley. There are some nice antique shops to have a look at and the Fruit shop is a must!
We might even have a chance to have a Club photo taken in front of the old Milk Co-Op Building.
We will go from Woodford back out the DeAguilar Hwy towards Caboolture and taking a right hand turn at King Street and through town and across the highway to Caboolture Bribie Island Road and follow through to Bribie Island. Upon arrival at the bridge to Bribie, We will make the decision to either turn right or left at the other end and set up for a BBQ lunch. Sausage sizzle will be provided for a gold coin donation towards costs. Please feel free to bring along BBQ ingredients of your own. I’ll be bringing a four burner BBQ.
The more people attending will make this a wonderful day for all.

What to pack: Chairs, Hat, Sunscreen, Map, Spare change, Swimmers, Towel.

Cheers Theo Z.....................
Watch for the early bird, He might be just getting home.

Top day out.. Had a hoot..

Michelle tells me over lunch that she wants a wagon..

Quickly retracted when her logical side kicked in..
I suggested a matching Lilac grey / cathay grey FB wagon  ,
she wants EK Hydramatic..

Only catch is the vultures dinner car has got to go.. Can you say "parts car"
