getting the most out of my old grey

Post by rudigar »

gday all. Just got my engine on the stand and am about to start cleaning it up, but i was wondering how i can tweak it a bit to get a smoother, more economical and better performance out of the old grey. Dont want to start drag racing or anything but if anyones got any tips/tricks that theyve done to theres it would be greatly appreciated. Is twin carbys/extractors worth it or not etc. Any advice would be great as this is my first rebuild so flying a bit blind here

If fitting stronger valve springs, also add a steel timing gear set.
The added pressure of the stronger springs will chew up your stock fibre timing gear.
