Thanks, SunnyTim. From the sounds of it, this is a vacuum-operated wiper washer setup. Do you know if it will work with a foot-operated setup?

Cheers & thanks again .... jacquie

I'll post a pic of the part that goes on the wiper switch for you this afternoon, I just sold a complete set up & am yet to take the dash part out. When these were fitted the dealer usually put a sticker on the inner guard to state the part no & which dealer fitted it from what I've seen :)

I'll also post a pic of an original sticker for you.

p.s not sure how you'll go using it witha foot switch.

Below is a pic of the wiper switch, the end connection goes to a vaccum source on the manifold & the side connection hose goes to the vaccum pump on the lid of the glass washer bottle. It is activated by pushing the button which opens a needle type valve to let the vaccum past.

Hope this helps ?

Now below is pics of the dealer sticker that is just above were the washer bottle sits (I'd already removed bottle before taking pics) I'm not 100% sure if this is about the option being supplied but I've only found these style stickerson cars that had vaccum washer bottles fitted to them, can anyone confirm this or is just coincidence :?:

Yeah that sounds about right with the dealer sticker, must have just been a common place to put them ? I have also had cars that had a dealer tin plate sign as well.

Yeah the spring is still on the button set up, also the vaccun line was black serated/ribbed line to the manifold. It was that brittle i just took it off.

on a side note another thing I have found a few times is a build sheet stuffed under the front seat of cars, between the lower springs & pdding. Anyone else found these?

yep, I've never had any for too long. there was a variety of the glass jars too, some had raised writing cast into them as well.
