luke and kimmy's ek special - colour done, onto reassembly

Post by matches »

hey everyone, i can finally say i have an ek 8) 8) . got it on the weekend, and haven't stopped thinking of it (the other half is getting rather jealous :x ) i'll post some pics of it as soon as i get the camera back off dad. it needs some work but it's a very neat starting point i think. the sills are perfect, there is a bit of rust in the floos and the front left guard but its been sitting in a shed since 1994. when i went to look at it the car had about 4mm of red bull dust over everything (engine, exterior, interior underbody) i had to rub it off just to see what colours things were :o . but she's had a wash and had the dyson though it twice now so i can actually see the car in its glory :D  . i think if he washed it he could've doubled what he wanted for it. oh well enough talking about it, time to get back to it.

Hi Luke & Kimmy, looks like a good thing! Great to see the pics.

Is the car white or Lilac?

thanks retro, yeah she'd been sitting in a garage since 1994, so it's good to see her back out into the light again. it shouldn't take too much to get it nice again, i just want to do it right. so no rushing.heres some more pics Image

Hey Matches, she doesn't look to bad 8)
They must have stored it with the windows down
Already fitted with a red motor I see.
That wind deflector looks to be a home made job.
Nice score
