Does anyone have any photo's of camper seats. Especially the back and sides showing the adjustments and covers, and various positions.

Send a PM to Retro. He has a copy of instructions of how to make a camper seat and might send you a photo copy.No harm in asking.
I can't think what to write here so this will do.

Thanks, I did already see something on making them, but didn't have any photos of what it looks like.

This is what I currently have. Cover coming apart and needs replacing.
Image
The seat folded flat. Some extra filling stuffed under the drivers side.  Only seems to have one lock position, normal driving. Once unlocked it can slide all the way back but doesn't lock into any set position. Notice the clips on the back of the seat (what for ?) and handle at the bottom left of picture (at front of the seat). Handle is not connected, and I can't see how it attached to the wire running between the two ends. Wire is in the middle of the photo, and needs to be pulled forward, from the middle of the wire. Won't disconnect if tried towards the sides (not enough leverage). The solid wire towards the front of the seat is the normal forward and backwards adjustment.
Image
Close-up of one of the clips on the back of the seat. What are they for ? :? :?
Image
Close-up of the handle at the front of the drivers seat. It looks like it has been bent. :? :? How was it connected underneath ? :? :?
Image
Normal sliding forward and back lever in the middle. You can also see the pin and adjustments at the back for lowering the seat.

Close up of the sliding pin and springs.

Overall it seems to be a fairly solid construction (done some time ago), however I'm still looking for photo's of a working one.  Also wondering what covers were used at the bottoms on the sides and at the back ? Mine has nothing. (where they modified original ones? ) A picture is worth a thousand words. :D :D :D :D

hey finny, my mate has a similar camper seat in his fb. the clips at the rear are actualy locking clips that protrude through the dress plates that are screwed to the sides of the seat, they keep the seat from falling back when driving the vehicle. it too has a lever under the seat and is located on the passenger side, it is used for adjusting the vertical part of the seat in different positions. i would assume that the one on your seat is a similar set up.
hope ive helped in one way or another.
