FB pedal car

Post by Brown Bear »

When I was a little fellow, my grandfather gave me a steel bodied pedal car.. it was a momentous occasion, which I still recall some 27 years later... :D

Luckily, we still have that little car, and my dad has always promised to do it up when the first grandchild arrived (and he did, just over a year ago... )

I recently celebrated my 30th birthday, and the pedal car was mentioned in my dad's speech... I was a bit bemused, 'cause I know for a fact the old car was still unrestored at that point, and was expecting to be handed the 'right to restore' or something like that. Dad has a peculiar sense of humour at times

Anyways, he walks out of the room, and returns with this....

See that?... Kodiak brown, with a white flash... and hand fabricated hubcaps... I was speechless

Truly awesome!

Thanks Dad! :D :D

Very cool.

Do you reckon you'll still fit in?

I'm sure you've tried.

I'm not a big bloke, but this isn't a big car either... and no, I havent tried fitting in it  we did manage to prop the boy up in it though :D

re the Hunter cruise - we have at least 4 starters up here. Two drinkers and two drivers.

Hey Mat,

thats a classic! I can think of a certain one year old who will be itching to be driving it in a couple of years...
