Hi all,
I'm keen to get the old grey motor humming a bit more than she is. What kind of performance gear is out there, and what do people recommend would be some good additions? Are there any stockists, or am I going to have to run around swap meets earlier than you blokes?
Currently have extractors, single strommy, some sort of aftermarket cam with unknown specs and a new exhaust system.
Thanks.
Jarrod.
(Engine swap is out of the question at the moment due to lack of funding approval for a V8 from the Minister for War and Finance.)

Jarrod, I have a full set of Speco, Rocker cover, Tripple stromberg manifold with carbs, Headers with header pipes. Or Tripple SU's on a lynx manifold and they are just some of the hop-up gear for the mighty grey. I'd love a Norman, and repco cross-flow head, but there aren't enough carnivorous chickens.
Send me a PM.

Jarrod,
Sounds like you're on the way as far as your grey goes, but you're still at least one carb short!
For economy and performance the twin carb kit works well - they come up on ebay regularly (or you can join the swap meet brigade and get up early...). I bought mine as a plain manifold and spent around $300 total to get the kit sorted with new gaskets, fuel fittings and linkages.

Twin carb kit on ebay atm
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Twin-Stromberg-c ... dZViewItem
pertronics for a points replacement
http://www.proquip.com.au/ignitor1.html
or scorcher for a high energy set up
http://www.performanceignition.com.au/T ... stributors
the pertronics is a cheaper option than scorcher depends what you are after if you can afford it some mild head work to make the cam carbys and extractors work together
