Grey Motor Head

Post by strogger »

Guys,
Have read with interest several members have modified their heads to run unleaded and also fitted "red motor" valves. I presume for greater preformance from a warm version of the grey.

I presume that "Red motor" hardened seats are used, Can someone confirm the remaining parts required as i am doing a shopping list up to convert a bare head i have.

Red motor valves and seats - suit which red head?
What valve springs/retainers?
Is Grey rocker gear compatable still?

I plan on doing up a warmer grey motor as a bit of a side project, Ek is daily driver now so work on it is minimal.
