I haven't been to Yamba since the mid '80's but there were only 2 caravan parks there then.

That was the Calypso caravan park and the Blue Dolphin caravan park.
We used to stay at the Blue Dolphin.

However I think the Blue Dolphin is now a resort and doesn't take caravans anymore from what I've heard.

And from what I saw on TV show "Getaway" a few years ago when the Blue Dolphin was voted as the best resort in Australia, the only people that could afford accomodation would be the overpaid oil company executives!

Terry

There is also nearby Angorie beach that was only about 5 km's from Yamba. There were only a couple of dozen house there way back then but I've heard Angorie has gone ahead in leaps and bounds so maybe there might be accomodation there also.

Township of Maclean is about 15 km's from Yamba and would probably have accomodation there as well.
I can't think what to write here so this will do.

Couldn't get in at the Calypso, but we got in at the Breakers on Pacific Parade. Now just need the car finished to get there.

We booked into the Holiday units at Calypso last week.

When I inquired initially there wasn't any accomodation but when I mentioned I was going to the FB/EK Nationals some accomodation was found!!
