Questions...

what colours (roof & body) are they called, as it looks like it may be an original colour ???

what do you think it would look like in a matt finish ???

what colour do i paint the engine... grey like DevilRod's ???

you thoughts would be great, as the painter has ask me what i'm doing so he can organise paint...

Hi matty,

Whats the original colour of the wagon??? What would it look like it a "mattified" finish?

I think engine bays painted the same colour of the car looks cool.

The last pic you posted gets my vote.

hey matty,

I love the ratrod look, I've always liked matt black and the plum colours. However if you have a straight body don't waste it. Go for the pale pink it will look sweeeeet!!! You'll have a ride that everyone will admire.

Hey Matty, I think you'll find that colour to be Cameo Beige Code #0235.

Nice photo chopping Matty!

Any factory colour combo will look good, especially the ones you are leaning to. Gives you the option of either white or body colour rims. Flat black is way overdone along with red steelies. Break the mould and get creative. But make sure you factor in the interior into your colour choice.

As for engine colour I would have liked a darker grey for mine (more like the original grey's) but light was all I could get.

Are you painting the engine bay? If so do it gloss not matt. Easier to keep clean than a matt finish.
Speed and Style........... One day I'll get the speed bit.

The new trend seems to paint the ratties in red lead/kill rust.

I like flat black personally but I hate red wheels.

i like flat black aswell but it's been done to death
problem with flat black, you put up pics of one already done and it's someone you know of :?
don't do it flat orange i don't want to have to paint mine again to soon
there are plenty of nice standard colours that would look good flattened then go with a shinny pearl, metalflake,or candy roof  :D :D
i seriously considered minifc's yellow off his wagon flattened but no money to buy paint and i've got the orange :D

8) I think you may find that the sedan is Corana Grey, I come to this conclusion after painting my sample panels, quite a rare colour apparentley. This is the colour my wagon came in an will be going back to. However I may be wrong about the pic.
