Choke Cable Removal from Dash

Post by thropzed »

Hey, Has anyone got any tips on how to remove choke cable from the dash. My plastic bezel thing is losing all its paint and I wanted to repaint on the weekend but couldn't find a spanner to fit(is it 1/2" or 9/16")Its a tough little bugger. Any advice graciously recieved.
Thanks Theo Z..............

It's just a nut that you have to undo. It will have a shaker washer that will make the first a little difficult to undo.

Mate, I just got one out of new old stock but it didn't have the nut fitted so I'm not 100% sure. At a guess I would say 9/16"

Thanks again Smooth, 9/16" is the only one I don't have with the 90* end on it. Maybe I'll make a custom spanner, you never know it might catch on!
