I’ve got a spare sedan set in Sydney, but not sure what the freight would look like to get them to you.

Cheers,

Thanks PGI and Harv,

I managed to find the company that bought out Spicer Springs and they also have all the specs for the Holden leafs - I have to provide a couple dimensions but they are going to make me a set in Sedan Soft to see how they sit/ride.

Once confirmed they would be happy to make them for whoever wanted them and maybe at a better price than I''m paying for being first - :ughh:

First cost is 650 the pair - I'll post up details as they come to hand in the proper section.

Hi Rob,
Rear sedan springs never did much work and are not hard to come by in good condition. A cheap solution to lowering and subduing the rear of an out to pasture commercial like ours generally are. The guys at Warburton would have them.

If I were paying that much I would be going something slightly stiffer, 2" to 3" lower. Maybe five leaf. Ride may not be quite as nice but will be low yet maintain some load capacity.

Cheers
Clay

Looking at sedan setup with slightly softer set which should sit a bit lower than standard - my ute wont be crying load so the extra leafs make it a bit bouncy and rough.

I may opt for standard spring set and 1.5 inch lower than standard to match the reduction at front.

As mentioned price is high because they are first off's - should come down once they have made them up and judging by many I have seen so far out of old cars they are not as safe as I'd like so I'd rather spend a little more and know they wont fail and do a lot more damage in the process.

Ho do you mean by Wharburton Clay?

Hi Rob, I think Clay means "Warburton Early Holden Spares". The guys name is Damien, 0410639656. He would definitely have the springs you are after. He would probably have dozens in fact as he has been dismantling FB - Eks for years. I have bought a few items from him over the years and he has always been fair with prices, and is pleasant to deal with. His Address is 520 Old Warburton Rd, Warburton, but you must phone first. Cheers, Fraze.

Forgot to add details
Got the springs to desired height from Carroll Springs in Somerton Vic
They have the original design layouts and can make to your spec from the stock measurement.
They fitted perfectly and the ride is much nicer than the old ute ones.
