If you know this your a legend

Post by EK 308 Uterus »

Gday to all.

On my EK Ute, I am trying to fit the glovebox hinge back on ( its been a number of years since been removed. On one edge it has the four screw holes that secure it to the glove box face on the other side it has only three holes where it would screw onto the indide of the dash... Did they change the hinge at some point as hinge seems to short and there is no way the holes will line up... whilst on the subject Which way does the hinge go up???? what does the spring in the middle of the hinge do ??? and how does it sit on the glove box door??? I have tried it everyway and cant make it fit correctly.

Does the glove box lining have extra support and also the mounting holes for the hindge ???? ( i dont have one yet )

Luke....Its always the little things that take the time.

Luke, the glovebox lid screws under the opening (under the dash) not inside of the opening, those holes are for the lining to be screwed into. Hope this make sense, Trev 8) .

Thanks Trev

I will have to take a closer look and see if the holes have been filled.
