For those who made or didn't make Tumit, this amazing FB was a local with (for memory Sunny Tim) 44,000 Gen miles, mint mats & trim. Very original.

Has anyone seen this car again? I think the guy wanted $4,500 back then.

Hi Steve,

This FB is now owned by Ian Mason and resides at Tamworth. Ian is one of the NSW Club country members and has tidied the car up whilst keeping it original. Still has original plates. It's in good hands.

I last saw it AHD 2-3 years? back I'll see if I can dig some pics out. It also featured in Australian Classic Car.

regards

Can someone tell the administrator he doesnt need to keep repeating himself - why is this happening?

Well thanks Stewart. It was a great car & happy to hear it has a loving owner. Hope it makes it to the AHD this year. Some pics would be great!

Hi Steve,

Some pics of CGB 910. The first pic is from from Ian Mason. The second pic I took at AHD in 2005.

This is what Ian had to say about the FB when he did a Club member profile for the NSW Club Newsletter.

Do you know any thing of its history?
Yes, sold new in Tumut in 1961 (tracked down original owner's son) sold to a fellow in Sydney who was going to take it to Perth, then sold to a woman in Sydney with young children, then sold to the last owner who was going to keep it for his young children when they grew up but decided he didn't want to hang on to it for that long. That makes me the 5th owner.

What do like best about the FB?
The overall styling, the big fins, the chrome on the dash, the fact that it was the car of the day when I was born. It's original number plates.

What do like least about the FB?
Vacuum wipers.

What have you done to the car so far?
Slight paint touch up, slight mechanical overhaul, slight interior/seats touch up but nothing major as the car was in good original condition.

Does it have any accessories?
Original bonnet mascot, original metal sun visor, original wheel trims, new rear venetian, new weather shield, new front and rear floor mats (all made to original specs).

Maybe another FB candidate for Yamba...I'll have to get on to him about that

they don't look like original wheel trims to me
on the other hand it looks better with proper hub caps, not the odd and HR caps it had
