Been doing lots of searching but can't seem to find the answer, does anyone know the size of the wiper arm spindle?. Seems to be a few available from different company's in different sizes. Don't have a micrometer or vernier, but from my trusty tape measure i reckon 1/2", but the arm hole would be a good bit bigger than that at the moment. What do others do for worn out arm splines? Found these.

Briby, can you give us a bit more on what you found.
I have a great set of replacement wiper arms for mine, but would like to know if you have found somewhere to purchase new replacements.

frats,
Rosco

G'day Briby,

I too would love a set of replacement wiper arms. Have had one arm so sloppy it left the car somewhere near Palm Beach at a great rate of knots  . The set I put on (by cannabilising the EK) are little better.

The splines seem to have a slight taper to them (could also be wear though they looked Ok to the eye). The tips measure 0.536", whilst the base of the splines measure 0.544".

Cheers,
Harv

Had a bit of luck, an Aussie company [TRUVISION] making parts that fit our cars. As you can see from the photos, they multi fit. In a pinch if your spindle is totally useless you could machine it down and fit the boss, but my drivers side i thought might be screwed but with the new arm on, almost as good as new. They also make wiper blades to suit bayonet style which i guess is OEM, i used my old wiper blade holder. Got mine from SpeedScreen in Campbellfield, Vic, other states ring TruVision for a stockist.
I don't think i need to do a how to, each new arm pack has a double ended arm, basically just cut off the hook to suit your crank and cut the other end to suit your length. The arm is held in the head with a plate and allen head screw, the same size as the wiper switch screw.
