Had a fantastic day out ... we all looked the part and was our first outing with seat belts finally fitted.
Was all good until time to go home ,.... got just down the road a bit then after a couple surges ..... stopped ??
Uh Oh  I thought whats going on here she's been running so good , well up with bonnet Looking,... Looking ,... leads all good ,... had spark ,... but not even a kick when cranking ?
Learn't my lesson really as I wasn't prepared with any tools to tackle anything properly  , so I'm thinking this must be a fuel problem battery was starting to drain from all the cranking,...
Lucky the Miss'us is with the RAC so she called them up and it was funny because they didn't know of a Holden EK and she is trying to explain,... but they kept asking is it a Commodore
Anyways ,they were surprisingly prompt in coming out and after some troubleshooting found the fuel pump to be at fault ,..
The rocker arm pivot pin had moved (looks like pushed the plug out )enough to disengage the rocker arm ,... so it was a ride home.
Just thought I would share this one with you all , something to keep a a eye on as it is not easily seen.
I also gotta say it was great to see the willingness of some people to offer to lend a hand,....
Regards,
Kel

Bit of bad luck mate but at least it wasn't a timing gear :D
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

My mates EH did that out back of the North Flinders Ranges many years ago. Local pastoralist passing by diagnosed and repaired it on the spot using a bit of acacia twig for pivot pin and the end of a glass fuse for the plug. Got him the 30km home to enable a change over.
