got a rare weekend off so decided to take the ute down
about a 200 k trip down from my place
so it was a early morning start after giving the ute a good clean through the week
pulled into the bp near my house to fuel up and the heavens opened up
so after filling up the chopped GAYPRICOT ute i headed onto the freeway taging behind old jim in his imaculant fb
people coming past us just shaking there heads with the look of
mate its pissin down
we headed to cockburn gateway to meet up with a few more
warren with his newly brought ek ute
ben rolled up in his fb wagon with his son riding shotgun
trev rolled up in his fb and parked accross the road without even seeing the bunch of cars accross from him
grabbed a mac coffee and then hit the freeway heading down to the ravenswood pub to pick up some more members
warrens car copped a flat rear tyre and trev was nice enough to stop and lend him his spare
thats typical of a car guy
with the weather still very average i was greatfull i rain x ed the screen the night before
as we turned into the ravenswood pub carpark some 120 ks from cockburn
there we all saw markos incredible van in all its glory on its maiden outing
talk about a standout car
here we picked up lindsey in his fb ute markos better looking half in the 4 wheel drive towing the tiny dog in the back
dont know why it wasnt allowed in the van
we all waived at mick as he drove past us all oblivious to the fact there was some 8 cars parked there
was able to get a quick shot of this blown monaro as it drove past
sonded so sweet with the wine of the blower
so we all headed down to waroona in a convoy of eks and fbs
i think the eks were in front
fancy that hey here we caught up with blackie in his ute and some more locals
parked up together and put up the 2 anexes
was great to see the mad rush for markos van by people in every direction
that thing is sweet
looked so comfy in the back too
great day had by all with gary also turning up but without his ute
did someone say licence
was a great day and a somewhat relaxing one for me
good to catch up with everyone and a special thanks goes out to marko and his wife for making the trip from gero
also im allways happy to meet someone with less hair than me
so headed home in a convoy of cool cars as we all made our way to off ramps along the way
looking forward to the next one
