hopefully its just a head gasket, if the head is shot I am seriously considering turfing the grey and going red. Bloody grey motors

Its those headers.

They always cause water to sit on the pistons.

Chucking them out will solve your problem.

I can trade you for a standard exhaust manifold if you like.

See the angle the genny is on ? the bottom bolt fell out and it got hot , hopefully not hot enough to fry the head, bloody thing owes me over a large - if I need to get another head done I can smash a red together for less than that and I wont need to worry about flogging it too hard ever again

Just think how boring and dull life would be if you didn't have to keep fixing your grey motors.

Keep the grey I recon. Hopefully not a cracked head, but there still are enough around I used a cracked head to stop the car rolling back while I took out my 161 and put back in a grey on the weekend.

I am going to drop it off today and get it crack tested and checked for straight , will see what happens - I would rather keep the grey as its less work but I am not going to rebuild another one if its knackered - they are too expensive.
