Certainly looks the part. Personally I cant stand working on dak daks.
I bought my wife a splitty but I cant bring myself to do it up.

Hey watch those veedub guys . I was selling a bonnet hinge at a beetle swap meet for a dollar
And they asked me to pull the spring off it and sell that for 50 cent .
Its only a dollar mate and he walked ...

My wife has a 71 beetle but I drive it to work every day.
It is fun to drive, only done a couple of longer trips in it (nervously waiting for something to go wrong) and it never missed a beat.
Now when I drive the EK it is so quiet I have to listen to see if it's still running (no dak dak dak dak) :lol:
