They come up on eBay from time to time.

Alternatively, i have heard that Aranda Towbars (3 stores around Bris) make reproduction towbars to the original fbek design.

I would be interested to know if anyone on the forum has one of these repro towbars and can provide feedback...

Sedan and wagon are the same, but Ute and Van are rather different (and will foul on a sedan fuel tank.... don't ask me how I know  )

Aranda Towbars - 07 32083022 QLD and 0297270061 NSW

Part No T2H153 (sedan and Wagon)
Part No T2H212 (FE -EK Ute & P/van)

Never tried them, but the only people I know of still making bars.

Cheers,
Harv

Hey Andy, sorry I've taken so long to reply, been away. Sedan and ute are different, but can be modified to fit. Or so I believe. Do you have one you'd like to sell?

From some measurements I made a while ago, it looks like the end plates and drawbar on sedan and ute towbars are pretty similar. The tongue plate however is in a different location - ute bars foul on sedan fuel tanks. Reasonable job to cut the tongue plate out and reweld it, but you would want to be pretty damn confident of your welding skills (and the state of the original weld... you would be making the new weld close to the old one, so increased risk of inclusions or funny behaviour from the two heat affected zones).

Cheers,
Harv

I sure could use it Andy. How much would you like for it? And how can I get it to Brissy?

You got me on a good week, so you can have it. I just have to unbolt it off Hank.
PM me some postal details and I will find some prices for Freight, or someone on thier way back from the Nats might want to take it your way.
