Whats a resonable price to pay for an EK bonnet. Rang this guy he wants 350 but he's not sure of the condition because its behind some other panels. Go figure. Thought you'de drag it out to check condition before puting a price on it.

Re: Bonnet price?
It would want to have a mint FB bonnet bar on it for that sort of coin

I started with nothing and still have most of it left.

Re: Bonnet price?
Thanks guys thats what I thought. Glad I resisted. I managed to pick up a mint bonnet bar else where though for 50.
Another question. Is there something in the chrome that causes the cast to blister over the years. Reason i ask is the fella I bought the bonnet bar off had some standard tail lights and the cast was perfect. Would have bought them apart from a hole blown thru where the indicator rubber sits. He also had a partly finished 2 door conversion EK sedan with a chopped and pancaked roof. Lowish build number 1066-A
Blacky I keep saying that i'll come up and check some parts out give me a day and time. I should be able to make it except sat morning
Edit. Ah as I was writing this something seemed familiar. Never met the gut before. I checked the phone number and it turns out its vintageholden. Doh when i spoke to keith about 8 months ago about some parts, he mentioned he had a 2 door he was going to cut up and the floors were in good nick. That was the car I looked at today and didnt realise it.
