Here's a 70s survivor

Post by Stygian »

Perhaps a few of you baby boomers sired offspring in the back of one of these? A mate of a mate recently purchased this. All original (no butchering  ) - original paint, decals and even the dealer stencil under the bonnet survives.

Very nice.

You would think they wouldn't have put windows on the side, knowing that a Sandman was going to be used for "recreational purposes"

I would butcher it and put in a Grey Motor with a Hydramatic :)

Don't think it's been done

Curtains Pete. They were in all the station wagons.

I never saw a sandman with Windows in the side?
Or that colour. Must be a rare one.

I've seen some half decent ones got for around 15 grand. Hard one to judge coz like all old Holdens, the prices seem to be all over the place.

there was one at summernats same colour but with no side windows, still not sure if it was original and patina'ed or made to look like it, didn't sound like it had a stock original motor in it though
