Narrogin Rev Heads 2011

Post by Doc Bob »

Just got back from the RevHeads weekend.
Only run the Fri night / Sat this year, but did'nt work too well, so should be back to full weekend in 2012 for their 20th Anniversary.

We picked up Top Club Display ( for the 5th year in a row  )
Members picked up Best Individual display and Best Original trophies as well.

Here's a couple of quick pics of the Wagon/Caravan and my brothers EK Sedan.......

Love the wagon and van combo

Often thought about getting an old teardrop van myself. Should get off my backside and do it.

I am seriously thinking of adding this as a little sideline to "Docs Classic Garage".
I know of at least another six vintage vans that I can get hold of and build to a customers specs to match their vehicle.(paint scheme/rims/interior etc.)

They do seem to be getting quite popular and a lot more practical than most of the little Teardrop vans getting around............with a family in tow anyrate

We put on a huge display every year.
This year was a "Summer Holiday" theme, hence the palm trees/vans/seagulls/surfboards etc.
Past years we have won top display we have had a Wild West town theme, 1950's drive in diner, 2nd hand car yard, heavy metal theme and the list goes on!
Everyone gets into the theme by dressing up and we have period correct music playing all day with a movie shown on the projector every evening.
We heard the Beach Boys about 36 hours straight this weekend
Here's a couple of more pics............

And hey..........the girls still love the old panel vans  ...........

Gazza
T' was a top weekend Gaz, but it took RevHeads as an excuse to finally finish the van after 12 months of the missus on my case about it
Just got some beehive tail lights and a chrome bumper left to fit to it, and get the windows tinted the same as the wagon this week, and she should be about all complete

Oh yeah...........there was DEFINITELY plenty to look at
