My floor shifter is old and worn (side linkage on the original 3 speed) and causing grief at the moment, with 2nd not engaging tonight and a broken selector shaft a couple of months ago. It's also hangs very low under the car.
I want to swap it back to the stock 3 on the tree location....no linkages left underneath though.....so would have to source it all and reassemble....
...anyone done this fro scratch...? Tips...?

Re: Floor shift back to Column.....!
The linkages attach straight to the column just above the steering box, so if its all still there it should only be a matter of putting the gearstick back in the honeypot and attaching the linkages to the box and column. I'll see if I've got any linkages at home over the weekend if I get a chance.
Speed and Style........... One day I'll get the speed bit.
Re: Floor shift back to Column.....!
I think from memory the linkages from the honey pot to above the steering box are there, just the linkages from there on down to the box are missing.....hoping this might be something I can achieve easily with the right pieces and a few photos of a standard set-up.....!Devilrod wrote:The linkages attach straight to the column just above the steering box, so if its all still there it should only be a matter of putting the gearstick back in the honeypot and attaching the linkages to the box and column.
