A typical Brisbane Friday night..at Munchie's

Post by Sputzwagon »

Hi all.... during my holiday (after the Nat's this year) I ventured up to Fiona & Tony's place outside Brisssy for a stay 'n' play and entered a world (the likes I have not seen since the late 80's!in N.S.W that is..) a hot spot of automotive enjoyment and get together on a Friday night. This place (Munchie's as named by the burger joint there) is a hive of activity from about 6pm through to 10ish pm of every car type and style I've ever seen jammed in on one large shopping car park.
Here's a few shot's I took on my pilgrimage there. (I'm not 100% sure of the suburb where this place is but I'm sure the Queenslander's here will let you know  ).

They were great times scotty. Glad somewhere still has this going on.
I know hungry jacks at port hacking have a night there once a month but its not like it used to be. Everyone is a stranger now.
Any more than a few cars were I live and the copers a straight on to it.

Yeah I love the Crown too, Pete...
Steve Kelly (Paul's son) owns it..It's in pretty good nik and quite original except for the lowering job..
Reminds me of the old Springwood taxi's (that's Springwood in the NSW Blue Mountains that is) before they sold 'em all and bought Chrysler's.
