Kernewek Lowender festival

Hey all, I attended the 2011 bi annual event a few weeks ago. Moonta holds a very special place to me as we used to go there every year as a family since I was about 4. Took the Friday off and headed up in the morning. It's like a week long event with lots of stuff going on in the Moonta, Kadina, Walleroo area known as the copper triangle as the area was used for mining back in the day.

Saw this when I was out and about. Thought it was funny when I said to the bloke, clearly in admiration is it still running the grey? and he looked at me like I just asked him the square root of 64 when I explained I was talking motors he said it was running a tripple webbered 202 He said it wasn't an original but a mock up of a past drag car. I didn't take any more shots of it as I figured it would be on the oval after the cruise. Nope, didn't see it again.



On the oval there was about 800? cars. The start in Walleroo and cruise around the three towns and end up in Kadina for the show and shine. Saw this and fell in love! had to stop myself from licking the paint like a 4 year old licking one of those huge lollipops lol. Very nice car!





All in all a really good weekend! looking forward to the next one (2 years away)
