Is this an "easy" enough mod to do, or are there traps that I need to look out for?
Looking at the doors, it looks like I just need to cut and mount part of the old quarter window channel to extend the door channel downwards, make a template for new glass. Then maybe modify the runner at the bottom of the glass, although the winder etc is staying in place so maybe not
I'd like to hear from anyone who has done this.
Isnt the quarter window at an angle to the main window stinky ? maybe a rubber might take up the slack but I wouldnt think it was close enough from memmory.
Possibility of reshaping the metal there maybe.
you have to fill in a section of the door where the vent window is it steps out a little, other people have said you need to make ajustments to the winder arm to counter the extra weight of the glass, when i did the van i changed nothing but i only had lexan in so alot lighter than glass, i don't think anything is at an angle i think it's all square
sometimes yor just better off shitting in yor hands and clapping

Rare Parts buy that stuff by the length ,I bought full lengths of it to do my '64 Chev. Shake Rattle & Roll had one piece door glass , I used LH Torana bailey channel to replace the original , and the glass used to jam about 2/3 of the way up so I reckon you need to lengthen the winder mech a bit to balance the glass a bit better then put the strip a bit further forward on the bottom of the glass so the roller doesnt run out the front of it.
I started with nothing and still have most of it left.
